What the heck is it?
If you ask me, I'll tell you Body Dynamics™ is a revolutionary technique that saved my life years ago, which is why I am its first advocate and got my certification to educate people about it... Before I say more about my own experience with it, here is more about the technique:
Body Dynamics™ is a body, movement and energy technique that promotes empowerment, vitality, self-confidence and self-love! Developed at first for performers and actors, Body Dynamics™ is also used in corporations to help CEOs and public speakers hone their leadership and communication skills.
Body Dynamics™ works with the body’s muscular defense system in an organized, practical approach to physical and emotional awareness. It is an integrated curriculum of Movement designed to free the body to be available to its full range of expression in performance and in life. Chronic tensions are released and structure and support are developed through a progression of exercises, including, but not limited to, elements of Bioenergetics, Feldenkrais, Soft Tissue Release, Alexander, Cranial Sacral, and Kinesthetic Anatomy. The work is transformative and allows clients to develop presence and purpose.
Carol Reynolds – founder and Master teacher - based Body Dynamics™ on her personal training in Bioenergetic Analysis with Al Lowen and John Pierrakos. It emerged out of her work as a Dancer, Choreographer, and Casting Agent, and has evolved for over 40 years in the context of dance and theater training. The approach is non-directive and is designed to establish a caring environment with clear boundaries.
The curriculum includes study of the structure and function of anatomy, hands-on work, ball work routines, and vibrational release exercises. The advanced study of Body Dynamics™ allows for a more personalized exploration of the ever-evolving self.
The Body Dynamics™ approach is an open system, broad and holistic in scope. Certified Body Dynamics™ Educators are provided with a fundamental common language and approach, while also being encouraged to impart their own unique perspective and training to the work.

My own experience and practice
In July 2008, I walked in a class I thought was about fitness and dance for actors. I walked out of it transformed, with a deep connection to my core that I didn't have before. This class taught me how my body worked, what it was saying to me and how badly I had pushed it until then. Your body is the reflection of your mind and soul, it tells you exactly how you are inside if you are willing and able to hear it. For the first time in my life, I heard it and boy it gave me the gospel! I tapped into old energy blocks that had been there since childhood, stuck, unprocessed. I freed myself from traumatic experiences that were holding me back and once they were gone, there was room available. For what? For LOVE! That's right! Body Dynamics™ helped me find unconditional love and more importantly helped me find self-love. It is now my mission and privilege to share it with as many people as I can through my private practice, through T. Schreiber Studio and through workshops that take place all over the city and now internationally.

A word from the founder
I consider the body and voice to be the grid. In the way one looks for a through-line in a theatrical piece, I want to help people find that through-line in their own physicality. I have found that one method doesn’t always work for everyone as we have different histories and bodies. I have developed a body of work that invites everybody into their individual and collective centers.
